so here in cairo, they are calling the latest round of violent resistance, #occupy cabinet.
which on the one hand speaks to the exchange of ideas, tactics, strategies, memes, etc globally. tahrir inspires ows. ows inspires tahrir.
on the other hand, lets look at the differences between them. the tactics used, the risks taken, the dead and wounded, etc.
and lets look at what are the differences between (rhetorically) occupying wall street (and all of the critiques about white us americans ‘occupying’ a land that they have already occupied, colonized, displaced the inhabitants. and egyptian revolutionaries occupying the egyptian cabinet.
