i am going to berlin tomorrow.  never been before.  and will be there for two weeks.  so whatever happens in cairo, i will just be one more spectator looking at it from a screen, if at all…

excited to see my friends in berlin and discover new (to me) places to drink, dance, catch good music, and chill…

the shit that went down at the football match in port said, the more that i am reading about it and listening to others, the more i am thinking that this is looking too convenient.  the ultras (the fans of two cairo football teams) are hardcore. acab. all cops are bad.  not only during the jan-feb ouster of mubarak, but also the nov-dec anti-scaf demos, ultras were on the front lines with molotov cocktails and a lot of verve.  a lot of folks are seeing the 75 dead in port said as a retaliatory measure by the police/scaf against the ultras who have - for the past year - been a major -and effective- force of the resistance. 

rumors are flying rampant

did i mention i am sick 24 hrs before my flight?  all month kids around me have been getting sick and ive avoided it, but of course now…my immune system had a hiccup and im in bed…

throwing myself into the universe.  one more time.
