Totally agree with Melissa Harris-Perry on this, been saying for years the next big waves of tech innovation will come from unexpected (to some) sources: Black and aboriginal women and other women of color, Third World democracy, LGBT and disabled communities, with the focus shifting from hardware and software platforms to the stories and survival tactics which technology enables. If all goes well I’ll be working with such tech geek titans in the not-too-distant future. There’s lots to do.
