well, nasser, was a different creature than those leaders who followed him.  but, i think there was a bit of this nasser spirit when the egyptian govt recently refused imf loans.  but, now, i think that a few kinds words would not be enough necessarily to sway the spine of the  jan 25 revolutionaries here.
